As a technology provider, we may act as a business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) when our products or services involve the creation, receipt, maintenance, or transmission of PHI on behalf of HIPAA-covered entities or their business associates.
This may include PHI processed through our cloud services, software applications, data analytics platforms, or IT support services. When we handle PHI, we do so in full compliance with applicable HIPAA regulations, including the Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule. We implement and maintain robust administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality and security of PHI and to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
We recognize and respect individuals’ rights under HIPAA regarding their PHI. If Wellfit Technologies processes your PHI in our capacity as a business associate to a covered entity (such as your healthcare provider or health plan), you should direct any requests to access, amend, restrict, or obtain an accounting of disclosures of your PHI to that entity directly.
